Cura Terrae has appointed Dr Mark Webb as Managing Director of its Land & Nature division, strengthening its leadership team as the business continues a period of strong growth and expansion across the UK and Ireland.
The appointment comes at a significant point in Cura Terrae’s evolution, following the recent acquisition of Scottish-based EnviroCentre and continued expansion into key areas including natural capital, marine and coastal advisory, and biodiversity-led solutions. The UK-based Group is increasingly focused on delivering integrated, multidisciplinary services to meet rising client demand driven by regulatory change and the transition to a nature-positive economy.
Mark will lead Cura Terrae’s Ecology, Green Infrastructure, Historic Environment and Environmental Assessment & Consenting teams, and will play a key role in leveraging the Group’s Land & Nature and EnviroCentre capabilities to support this next phase of growth.
As a highly experienced environmental leader with around 30 years’ experience in the environmental sector, Mark brings a strong track record of leading large, multidisciplinary teams and scaling environmental services businesses. Most recently, he was Managing Director of Environmental at Origin Enterprises, where he led a team of approximately 275 people across eight business units in the UK and Ireland.
"Cura Terrae is at an exciting stage in its growth, with a clear ambition to build a leading environmental advisory business with a strong purpose-led culture and values. I’m particularly looking forward to developing the combined offering of our Land & Nature and EnviroCentre teams to deliver more integrated, high-quality solutions for clients, especially as demand continues to increase in areas such as biodiversity, natural capital and climate resilience."
"This is an important appointment for Cura Terrae and is clear signal of our intent to strengthen our capability. Mark is a true industry leader, who has the experience and sector insight to scale our Land & Nature business."
